When serving in the Army, Thomas Brun was injured, this resulted in the amputation of one of his legs. His sporting achievements prior to the Games have included: Marines Corps Trials 2013 – Gold medal in discus, bronze medal in launch weight, Marine Corps Trials 2014 – Silver medal in launch weight and discus, and Warendorf 2013 – Gold medal in launch weight. He will be competing in Athletics, Archery, and Wheelchair Basketball.
