Rick Richard was injured whilst changing a winch cable on a 5 tone truck. The injury lead to the loss of his right leg. He is currently the longest serving amputee in the Canadian Armed Forces. He has been involved with “Soldier On” for 7 years, and carried the olympic torch at the Vancouver Paralympic Games. He is also a fully qualified adaptive ski instructor.
