Maj. Barriera is now a veteran of the Army. When he was serving he was involved in an accident in service where he reported a spinal cord injury. Currently he is waiting for recall into service at the Interagency Operational Command of Defence. He is looking forward to taking part in Swimming and Wheelchair Basketball.
