Matthew Taxis joined the Army at age 20 as a Combat Engineer and was posted to the 2nd Combat Engineer Regiment in Brisbane, Queensland. Taxis injured his back here while lifting gear during pre-deployment training in 2011 and was subsequently never deployed. He is excited to compete in the Cycling and JLR Driving Challenge at this year’s Invictus Games.
