Kirsty-Lee Brown joined the Navy in 2002 where she has received a gold commendation and a Group Bravery Citation. During her service she was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Since then she has competed in a number of sporting competitions, in which she has gained recognition. She says, “This experience will push me out of my comfort zone and hopefully be a positive experience for my physical and mental health.” During the Games she will be competing in Athletics, Swimming, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Rugby.
