In June 2007 former Lance Corporal Jonathon ‘Frenchie’ Le Galloudec, was shot in the spine while out on patrol in Iraq. The injury left him partly paralysed from the waist down and in chronic pain. Since then, using the power of sport, Frenchie has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro, trekked to Everest Base Camp and taken part in a number of Paralympic Sports Camps. He has also competed in the Warrior Games 2013, where he won bronze medals in two of his swimming events. Frenchie will be representing the British Armed Forces in Swimming.
