Sgt. Lake enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2004, where he served in Iraq and also trained members of the Georgian military. This resulted in him being diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He has said, “I want to prove myself and push myself at the Invictus Games, and to compete in different events and challenge myself, but also be a part of something that will always be with me, the Invictus Games”. He will be competing for Gold in Archery, Sitting Volleyball, and Wheelchair Basketball
