Garry Robinson joined the Army in 1994 where he pursued a life-long goal to join the Special Forces. This dream was realised in 2004 when he became a Commando, completing 3 tours of Afghanistan. During his last tour he sustained a severe traumatic brain injury, a left leg amputation, and multiple musculoskeletal injuries following a Blackhawk helicopter crash during his deployment in 2010. However, this has not stopped Robinson, who will be competing in Arcjery, Cycling and Swimming during the Games
