Derrick joined the Air Force in 2009, he served in the 633 Air Base Wing, which is based at Langley Air Force base Virginia. In 2010 he was diagnosed with Leukaemia and has since been fighting a winning battle. He is proud to be part of the Invictus Games as he views it as a “Once in a lifetime opportunity”. He will be competing in Volleyball, Swimming and Rowing.
