During combat operations in Iraq of 2003 SFC Livesay, sustained a gunshot wound and subsequently had his leg amputated above the knee. Since his injury, Christopher Livesay has continued his career as a Green Beret, jumping from planes, graduating from the Army’s Pathfinder school, and finished his career in the Army’s World Class Athlete Program in the sport of rowing.
